We started our day with Argentinian pastries again and it is quite clear that we are going to have to cool it on the churros for breakfast if we want to continue to fit into the two pairs of jeans we each brought for the two months! Today we decided to stay close to home and investigated Palermo Soho with all of its lovely shops. We all felt that were we to live in BA, this is where we would choose to live. We had lunch–empanadas and salads–at a funky restaurant and then wandered home. A low-key, grey and rainy last day in BA which we finished off with most likely one of the best meals we’ll have during our whole trip at Las Pizarras Bistro. Ok, so kind of cheating because French inspired, but truly excellent!

Quartier Palermo Soho (c’est pour le côté dadaïste de BA).

Petit bilan des 4 jours passés à Buenos Aires. On ne tombe pas amoureux de la ville au premier regard, c’est sur, mais tout l’intérêt réside dans ce charme discret, voire caché, qui ne demande qu’à se dévoiler … Mais pas avant 22heures, et si possible avec des locaux comme guides.

Aujourd’hui on a encore fait un très bon Resto, plutôt bistro, pas loin de l’appart (merci Yannick pour les conseils, et l’appart): las pizzas bistro (voir la rubrique fooding).

Pour résumer belle expérience, parfaite entrée en matière pour notre périple au long cours, et pour terminer quelques photos.
