Jour 7 / Day 7

Wendy

Today we spent the day in Brazil. Just a half hour drive from our hotel and we were on the Brazilian side of the Iguazu Falls. We first visited a bird park filled with exotic species. The parrot house was the most impressive as we were in a huge enclosed space with hundreds of colorful, cawing parrots. They would fly right by barely clipping our heads and making a deafening clamor.

The Parque Nacional do Iguacu is quite different from the Argentinian park in that it gives a much broader view of the falls and you really get a feel for how vast the landscape of waterfalls is. We were fascinated and ended up watching the sunset from a lookout platform. We in fact closed the park down.

Our trusty driver « Tito » came to collect us and brought us back across the border to our hotel. Another spectacular day in Iguazu.

Today we went to Brazil. From there, we were abled to see the whole falls, pointing out the place we had been the day before. We were also abled to see the falls from the middle meaning that we were on a ‘shelf’. We watched the sunset from a vantage point close to the falls which was breathtakingly beautiful. After that, we went to a restaurant which was so deleicious we had to order more.
