Réveil à 5:30h du matin… Partis à 6h, en route pour le Bolivia Hop bus. Nous sommes arrivés au point de rencontre mais on a dû attendre le bus pendant 1h😭 (j’aurais pu dormir plus longtemps). Le bus pour aller à Copacabana a duré à peu près 4h. C’est un petit village qui surplombe le lac Titicaca. Nous sommes montés jusqu’à notre hôtel qui était très haut surtout avec nos valises. Un peu galère mais nous sommes arrivés dans notre bel hôtel, La Cupula.. Avec une vue splendide et des alpacas dans le jardin!

Nous avons pris notre déjeuner à l’hôtel. Puis nous avons marché sur « la plage » du lac et nous avons vu des pédalos donc nous en avons fait. C’était très drôle. Les adultes derrière et les enfants devant. C’était très relaxant. 

Puis nous avons regardé le coucher du soleil en buvant un petit mojito sur une terrace au bord de l’eau.  Magnifique! Nous sommes rentrés et papa ne se sentait pas très bien donc il est allé se coucher pendant que Sam, maman et moi sommes allés au jacuzzi… Ohlalala une vue magnifique, et les étoiles dispersées dans le ciel. Que c’était magique. Nous sommes allés dîner tous les trois dans un petit restaurant mexicain. C’était très bon. Un autre mojito pour moi et des nachos excellents! Et hop on est allé se coucher. On était très fatigué.

We woke up at 5:30am to catch the Bolivia Hop bus which would bring us to Copacabana (Bolivia not Brazil). Once at the rendez vous point, we waited for one hour before the bus arrived late. We could have slept an extra hour 😦 Once we got on, we relaxed and watched a movie during the 4h bus ride. We arrived at Copacabana where we dragged our luggage to our hotel which is on a hill overlooking the lake Titicaca. We had lunch outside at the hotel and then all took a nap, some inside, some in the hammocks in the pretty garden. We then walked down to the lake where we rented a paddle boat, which was very pleasant. We stopped for an aperitif on a rooftop bar overlooking the sunset on the water. It was magnificent. So many colors: blue, red, yellow, orange… 

Papa wasn’t feeling well again because of the altitude and perhaps sunstroke from his siesta in the hammock so we escorted him back to the hotel where he rested and where we took an amazing hot tub. The water was just the right temperature and we had an awesome view of the lake and of the stars. We then all three went to a Mexican restaurant where we ordered nachos. The food was delicious but the service was slow. We finally went to bed. I had a mezzanine bed above the small bathroom which was cosy.

Coucher de soleil sur le lac depuis notre hotel. Après ça je me suis couché car l’altitude ne me réussit toujours pas (je vous ai dit que Titicaca est le lac le plus haut du monde à 3600 m?)
