Maraschin

Antonio Raposo 1479, Foz do Iguacu, Brazil

Our friends, the Masdebrieu, had given us a glowing restaurant recommendation to have dinner on the Brazil side so we made a point of going. Much to our surprise it was empty and seemed to be in the middle of nowhere, Sasha qualified it as a « sketchy area. » Knowing they would not steer us wrong, we deciphered (or at least tried to) the Portuguese menu and had an absolutely delicious meal called « picanha na pedra »…a sizzling beef and onion dish that was to die for. The caipirinhas weren’t bad either!
