After a leisurely breakfast at the hotel, Alexis and I went to the Nanni Bodega for a wine tasting. Cafayate is famous for its wine production, though less so than Mendoza. We finally tried the local white, Torrentes, which is quite flowery and several reds (Malbec and Tannat), which are a bit too tannic for my taste.
We collected the kids after and drove up to the Piatelli vineyards. An amazing domain that has a 360 view of the mountains and a good restaurant where we ended up having a very long lunch (service is good here but extremely slow). We walked around the grounds before heading back into town.

Today turned out to be quite food and drink centric as we headed out in the early evening to La Estancia, the luxury resort up the road, to watch the sunset over the mountains with cocktails in hand.

And last, but not least (though certainly a lot less high end) we had supper at La Casa de Empanadas, a funky restaurant in town with a fun ambiance and live music.
