Today we took advantage of being in Purmamarca. We took a walk on a mountain pass behind our hotel which had beautiful views. Alexis thought it would be fun to go off the path, which led us to scale down the side of a steep hill. While Alexis and the kids were loving the adventure, I had a freak out imagining us breaking backs, or even just bones. All was well in the end though.

We bought some vegetables to make a big salad for lunch. Though Argentina is clearly the beef capital of the world, crunchy veggies are hard to come by (you should avoid this country Sarah James!). How that salad tasted delicious!

We spent most of the afternoon enjoying the sun on our terrace before heading out to walk the mountain path again at sunset.

Comida Gabriel again for supper with our favorite cocinero (pictured below), this time with a very tasty llama steak, among other dishes.

Une journée plutôt tranquille à Purmamarca avec une promenade de santé autour de la montagne qui surplombe le village, histoire de tester nos chaussures de marche (certaines veulent le faire en tongs, bonne occasion de tester également l’autorité parentale).

Village sympa malgré les cars de touristes, et surtout la diversité des roches  environnantes est incroyable et ne manque pas d’impressionner notre géologue de service.
